NEW BODY OF WORK

Artist, Dee Etzwiler, has embarked on a self-directed project inspired by Eadweard Muybridge’s 19th-century motion studies of human and animal locomotion. To produce her contemporary, abstract collages, Dee deconstructs Muybridge’s collection of scientific observations—including grids, subject photos, and scientific data—and layer them with curated textures and colors.

Dee’s vision is to produce 25-35 works of art in this collection, each measuring at least three feet in one dimension. The completed collages will be printed as archival pigment prints, grouped as a cohesive body of work, and presented as a series for exhibition.
