What types of projects do you take on?

As a visual artist, I take on a wide variety of projects because I can produce a wide range of artwork, large and small. My digitally-developed art can be grouped into two categories: Abstract Art and Narrative Collages. Once I have moved my work through the schematic and development stages of a project, my art moves into the formatting phase which breaks down into two groups: Print and Digital. My work can be commercially printed on a number of materials (canvas, fine art paper, metal and more) and installed in commercial locations, private businesses and residential spaces. My art can also be printed as limited editions prints. Lastly, I can offer a digital copy of my art to clients for use in social media, marketing campaigns (digital or print).

Who are your clients?

In addition to working collaboratively with design teams, I work with a range of individuals from private, public and commercial sectors.

How long does it take a+a Studio to create a work of art?

I can produce a commissioned work of art in a matter of weeks. For larger, more complex pieces, it can take longer — up to several months. However, if a client purchases an existing image, it can be completed within 1-2 weeks.

What sizes of art do you create?

Because my art is produced digitally, dimensions can vary from very small to mural size. Dimension restrictions may occur due to printing and/or material limitations. Installation spaces also have an impact on the scale of my custom art.

How do you create your art?

Working collaboratively with clients, I incorporate a multi-step, creative process to produce my art. Initial design sketches move into a digital format where the artwork becomes layered and refined over time. After much thoughtful development, my completed work of art is either printed (on a choice of printing substrates) for installation — or created as limited edition prints. My clients also have the opportunity to obtain a digital file of the art.

What are your fees?

Fees are based on factors such as the project’s complexity, number of pieces created per project, and artwork dimensions. Therefore, projects are individually priced.

Can you provide multiple images like triptychs?

Absolutely. Depending on the space(s) in your business or home, it may be determined that a series of images is the best solution for your project.

Can you create a work of art using colors that compliment the intended installation space?

Yes. Because I develop my art digitally, the color palette I work with can be adjusted to suit your specific setting.

Do you provide services outside of Oregon?

Absolutely! I am available to work with out-of-state clients. I work with clients via video chat and I screen share my work so that clients can see the art in development. I also create digital installation mock-ups so that clients can visualize the art in their installation space.

Can I purchase an existing image that is on your website?

Yes, unless a contract with the original client prohibits the sale.

Is your art archival quality?

Yes. My art may be printed on archival papers using archival inks so that it is deemed archival and will be enjoyed for generations to come. Other printing substrates I offer may not necessarily be archival, but they are very durable and long-lasting. Please contact a+a Studio for detailed information on the many available printing substrates.

Do you install the art for your clients?

Although a+a Studio does not install its own artwork, it takes the installation process — and the necessary hardware — into consideration during the design phase of each project to ensure your work will be ready for a professional and efficient install. Additionally, I often help coordinate the installation process by working with — and scheduling — the necessary installation professionals.

Do you provide framing services?

a+a Studio provides framing consultation services for all frameable art and can arrange to have your work professionally framed.

Do you mail your art?

Yes. a+a Studio is happy to package, insure, and ship our artwork to out-of-town clients.

What does the ‘a+a’ in your business name represent?

It represents artist Dee Etzwiler’s driving passions: Art and Architecture.
