PRINCIPAL & VISUAL ARTIST

Dee Etzwiler earned a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Oregon. She has had a successful career co-designing custom houses, has collaborated on spatial planning studies of the Oregon State Capitol mall, and has taught architecture design courses at the University of Oregon.

Dee is also an award-winning artist with years of studio experience. In 2012, she launched a+a Studio with the intent of merging her two passions: art and architecture. Dee has a number of commissioned art installations and her work has been shown in juried gallery exhibitions. Other distinctions include:

  • Accepted to Oregon Arts Commission’s current Art in Public Places roster

  • Accepted to the City of Eugene’s Urban Canvas roster

  • Partner Artist with TurningArt (Boston, MA)

  • Appointed to the City of Eugene’s Parks and Recreation Plan Core Percent-for-Art Committee

  • Past board member of the Arts & Business Alliance of Eugene

  • Past board member of the John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts

  • Past board President and board member of the Eugene Education Foundation.
