MAUDE KERNS ART CENTER

Dee displayed nine works of art in a January, 2020, group show in Eugene, OR, titled Conversations: Reflections of 14 Women Artists. In response to the show’s focus, Dee selected copyright-free (digital) images in the Biodiversity Heritage Library to represent adjectives that describe conversations (i.e. a scorpion image = a ‘stinging conversation’). Dee’s completed, digital works were commercially printed using archival inks and the highest quality archival paper. In addition to the eight conversation types produced as limited edition prints, she created a larger piece titled The Gathering (41” x 53”) which is a compilation of cut pieces of the eight conversation types. These pieces were stapled onto painted plywood. To learn more about this body of work, read the Biodiversity Heritage Library’s blog. 20 limited edition prints have been assigned to each image below (not including The Gathering). Prints are created upon request and can be printed in a range of sizes. If you would like more information, please contact Dee.
